The ethnic center for tourism and culture is founded in ’Albedo’ mansion in Varna in 2008 having the following aims:
- to encourage development of rural tourism in Pocerina, Macva and Posavotamnava;
- to organise activities for the environment protection;
- to develop cultural life in villages;
- to create women enterpreneurship on rural area of Sabac municipality.
In cooperation with authorised institutions, organisations and similar associations in Serbia,the ethno centre carries out its programme through three sections: rural tourism, culture and ecology. Each section has its own Council made of experts for suitable fields. The section agenda is proposed by the Management Board of seven members.
- The section for RURAL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT of ethno centre is at the moment made of:
two categorised households (both in Varna);
three households equipped for preparing winter stores with guests as well as for the market;
three households in preparation for categorisation (with their specific offers).
Besides general promotion of rural tourism development within the section, house workshops for preparing winter stores and other foodstuffs as well as hand-made products and souvenirs are being formed. Promotion of such kind of activity in villages develops strong family workshops for making tourist products which are offered to tourists and other interested citizens.
Activities of the ethno centre connected to the rural tourism development comprise the regions of Pocerina, Macva and Posavotamnava .
