In 1998, in the near town centre, in the longest town street, the café ‘Urbano’ was opened.
Attractively designed ambience and carefully chosen programme with the accent on acid, jazz and live performances of the top domestic jazz players, very quickly, made ‘Urbano’ become a place of the greatest fun in town.
First karaoke evenings in town and first karaoke live performances with a home band ‘Taboo’ contributed the café’s enormous popularity where the guests felt as old friends of the house. Ten years later, with over 730 live performances of the most famous musicians from our country (Dejan Cukic, Tanja Banjanin, Jovan Maljokovic, Tanja Jovicevic, Vasil Hadzimanov, Billy King, Nesa Petrovic, Blah blah band, Disco bus, Milacopezzo, Taboo…), café ‘Urbano’ enjoys the status of the cult club of our town. It built generation image of many citizens who remember lots of beautiful events from the smoky angle of the café. You can be a part of these happenings as well…
Thursday: karaoke party, soon DJ party.
Friday: live Retro (domestic and foreign pop-rock)
Saturday: live home band Disco bus – check why people talk about them and why they are coming again and again…
