This manifestation is organized in August and is dedicated to the celebration of famous event from Serbian history THE BATTLE OF MISAR which took place in August 1806. The great victory of Serbian rebels under the leadership of Karadjordje Petrovic over the Turkish army is the eternal inspiration to people from this area and caution not to forget the old testaments. 

Misar is 6 km far from Sabac and it is on the road towards Belgrade and Obrenovac. In the village centre, there is a monument to Karadjordje and heroes of Misar as well as museum exhibition dedicated to this event, the section of National Museum of Sabac.

This manifestation lasts for a few days and comprises different programmes, such as: the ceremony dedicated to this famous event, laying a wreath on the monument accompanied with suitable artistic programme, sport encounters and other numerous events. Surely, the most attractive event is all-round competition of Misar where the most skillful horsemen compete in several disciplines that implicit large skill in horse-riding  and use of arms, and all that is for the sake of winning the flattering ‘the hero of Misar’ title. At the time, an imposing number of visitors gather in the racecourse and they zealously cheer competitors. A very interesting event is horsemen’s parade through Sabac, dressed and equipped as Janko Veselinovic described them, riding showy horses and evoking memories of some ancient, glorious times.
