Museum

It was founded in 1934 but since 1954 it has been situated in the former High school building. A gallery for occasional exhibitions and a part of permanent arrangement are located on 800m² of exhibition space.
 
Library

The tradition of librarianship in Sabac is longer than 160 years. The educated citizens of Sabac, High school and the church got the idea of founding the Reading club of Sabac in 1847.
 
Cultural centre

The cultural centre Sabac started working more than four decades ago, on 23rd May 1963. It was originally named The Youth Centre, then the Community Centre ‘Vera Blagojevic’ and since 2002 with a new name Cultural Centre.
 
Tourist- leisure complex "Stari Grad"

Turbulent history of Sabac region left many material traces until today.
 
Architectural values

Šabac je u XIX veku centar uprave, u gradu postoje i rade ustanove kao što su Okružni sud, Okružno načelstvo, sedište je episkopa i konzistorije za šabačku eparhiju.

The Dunjics’ house

Kuću je sagradio čuveni šabački hirurg Mihailo Dunjić u dvadesetim godinama dvadesetog veka. Građena je u eklektičkom, neoWrenesansnom stilu, kao značajniji primer građanske arhitekture tog vremena u Šapcu.
 
Church-monument in the churchyard

Having come in Sabac and become a nahiya duke, Jevrem Obradovic, as a man who tended to progress and development, perceived the decay of the old Serbian Orthodox Church.

Asik's grave

Asik’s grave, a memory complex, is dedicated to eternal secret love, to Serbian ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and it is placed in Metlic, 30 km far from Sabac. In his short story, Janko Veselinovic, a writer, described the forbidden love between two young people, Pavle and Djula, that ended tragically.
 
Jewish cemetery

Danas u Šapcu nema nijednog Jevrejina. Odmah posle mosta na Savi, putnike u taj grad vodi Jevrejska ulica preko koje svako uđe i izađe iz "srpske Verone".
 
Mountain Cer

Legendary Mountain Cer, 25km far from Sabac, is a favourite resort of Sabac citizens. Not too high (the highest peak is at 689 meters above sea level), it offers possibilities of walking along marked mountainous paths that will direct tourists to significant locations nearby...
 
The Djakovics’ homestead

U selu Nakučani kompletno seosko domaćinstvo iz prve polovine 19. veka, redak primer dobro sačuvanih objekata narodnog graditeljstva iz tog vremena, jedinstven etno muzej ovog tipa u regionu.
Monasteries
Cokesina

Nalazi se na severnoj padini planine Cer, u selu Čokešina. Od Šapca udaljen četrdesetak kilometara. Posvećen je Rođenju Presvete Bogorodice. Manastir Čokešina jedan od najstarijih manastira u Podrinju, podignut početkom XV veka.
 
Kaona

Manastir je posvećen svetim arhanđelima Mihailu i Gavrilu, a kapela Presvetoj Bogorodici. Nalazi se u selu Kaona u Posavotamnavi.
 
Petkovica

The women monastery Petkovica is situated in a village called Petkovica that is about 30 km far from Sabac. It stands on the mild slopes of Cer Mountain and beginnings of Macva plain braving the time.
 
Radovasnica

The first church in this area dated even from the Nemanjics period in 14th century. In written documents, the monastery has been mentioned since 1548. It is situated at the foot of Cer Mountain, in a village called Radovasnica that is 23 km far from Sabac.

The monument of Misar

After many-century Turkish slavery, the First Serbian Uprising broke out in 1804. The most intensive battles were fought exactly in Sabac area. The biggest and most important one was fought in Misar, on 1st and 13th August, 1806.
